The last round of the French National was held at the end of September at ChambĂ©ry. The battle for the title was very exciting because after the first four rounds, G.Vray (Mugen/RB), J.Aigoin (Pirate/Picco) and Y.Aigoin (XRAY/RB) were very close. The driver to win the last race would get the title !!!

After winning the French Cup in August, Yannick was really motivated for this race. He took the TQ, making the best time in the first two rounds. He was followed by G.Vray and J.Sartel. E.Legros (XRAY/MĂ©ga) who took 6th place. S.Chaffardon (XRAY/RB) was also in semi-final. All XRAY drivers used the new TQ suspension set and had a very good car on this steep and bumpy track.

Yannick won the A semi-final, his brother JĂ©rĂ´me finished in 2nd and R.Savoya in 3rd. In the B semi-final there was a big battle between G.Vray (who won) and J.Sartel (2nd). E.Legros finished 4th and went up in the main.

During the final, Yannick immediately took the lead. There was an incredible battle between the three challengers for the title. After 15 minutes Yannick was still leading, with JĂ©rĂ´me in 2nd and Guillaume in 3rd. All 3 were within a 10-second gap! Although the track was difficult, Yannick and his XB8 didnâ™t commit any mistake during the 45 minute final. JĂ©rĂ´me and Guillaume were not so consistent. Yannick finally won the race and claimed the first French title with XRAY/RB.
